Vehicle storage requirements
If you want to store a vehicle at our facility, here is what we need to see to allow it on the property.
- Requires Registration
- Requires Insurance
- Vehicle Requires Title
- Must be Drivable
As long as all these categories are met, we will be happy to store your vehicles for you!
* When storing vehicles, lawn mowers, 4-wheelers etc. we require a tarp or a piece of cardboard placed under the engine to prevent any leaking from the engine that could damage the facility.
Appliance and Furniture Self Storage
Due to their large size, appliances and furniture pieces are two of the most popular categories of items stored at Tri-City Self Storage.
Here are some basic guidelines for storing them.
- Refrigerators and freezers should be dry and left with the doors slightly open.
- Items can be stacked on-top of the appliances if needed and to safe space.
- Storing furniture should be done carefully to protect it. We suggest starting by placing a pallet, cardboard or plastic on the floor and then putting your furniture in the unit.
- Stand sofas and mattresses on end.
- Disassemble beds and tables and wrap their legs in paper. Place the table face down on the floor with its legs in the air.
- Use dresser tops for stacking cartons, dresser drawers for linens or small items.
- Lightweight chairs can be stacked seat to seat or placed upside down on tables if the table cannot be disassembled.
- Use plastic, tarps, blankets, etc., over furniture and valuables that aren’t in boxes to ensure protection.
